Rhawnhurst Turning Point

Center for Youth and Young Adults in NE Philly

We have many wonderful partners in the work we do at Rhawnhurst Turning Point.  Below, we want to note and thank those long-term and ongoing partnerships with other community groups, businesses and individuals with whom we partner for service events and programs, as well as from whom we receive ongoing financial or in-kind support.

Feast of Justice

Feast of Justice is a ministry operated out of St. John’s Lutheran Church in northeast Philadelphia.  They are a cooperative effort of community churches, companies and individuals whose mission is to support the community by transforming the lives of its residents. They provide a wide range of programs to individuals and families such as a Community Food Pantry, Resource Information, Life Skills for all ages, Counseling and more.  Turning Point has partnered with Feast of Justice through our Service Saturday programs, as youth have helped out at the food pantry and collected and assembled school supplies to be given out to FofJ’s clients at the beginning of the school year.  We look forward to beginning a new initiative together in 2016, a community dinner, that we anticipate will be held 2 nights every month.

The Naturally Occurring Retirement Community works with Senior Citizens in the 19152 and 19111 zip codes of Northeast Philadelphia.  This non-profit helps seniors with daily tasks to enable them to live independently in their homes for as long as possible.  Turning Point partners with NORC to help do seasonal yard work for their clients, as well as bake the occasional batch of cookies and make homemade cards throughout the year.  For information on NORC please contact Program Manager Abby Gilbert at215-320-0351.

Rotary Club of Northeast Sunrisers
